The Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 aims to protect people who report improper conduct by public officers and public bodies.

VicRoads aims to be transparent and accountable. We support disclosures that reveal corrupt conduct, mismanagement of public resources, or conduct that risks public health and safety, or the environment.

VicRoads will take all reasonable steps to protect people who make such disclosures.


Who can make a disclosure?
Disclosures may be made by any VicRoads staff member, contractor or by members of the public.


How do you make a disclosure?
The attached document: Procedures for managing disclosures made pursuant to the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 [DOC, 816KB] sets out guidelines for making a disclosure.

Disclosures of improper conduct or detrimental action by VicRoads or its employees, may be made to the VicRoads Protected Disclosure Coordinator:
