Recruitment Privacy Statement

VicRoads is committed to the responsible handling of personal information collected as part of the recruitment process.

Information collected about you will only be used in relation to recruitment and selection processes and will not be disclosed to a third party without your consent, except as provided in this statement or otherwise required by law.

As part of the recruitment process VicRoads may utilise the services of a host for online applications and to provide secure storage of its collected data. For screening purposes, VicRoads may also disclose your application to an external recruitment consultant who may assist with the recruitment process.

Unsuccessful applications will be retained for the minimum period of six months after the conclusion of the selection and appeals process. Personal information may also be retained after that time in the selection report written by the selection panel. It will not be used for the purpose of consideration for future employment without your consent.

Applicants may be requested to give their written consent for VicRoads to check records maintained by Victoria Police, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and/or VicRoads as a part of the selection process. Applicants may be required to undertake a health check.

If you do not provide information or the information that you provide is insufficient or inaccurate, VicRoads will not be able to assess your application against the selection criteria and requirements of the position you are applying for.

If at any time your details change you can login in via the VicRoads website (VicRoads will provide you with a user ID and password) and update your Personal Details (however, you may not change the Response to Selection Criteria or Resume after the closing date for applications).
