VicRoads provides traineeships to help with future employment opportunities.
A traineeship is a placement that combines work and structured training. During the traineeship, a trainee will gain work experience and has the opportunity to learn new skills in a hands-on-environment. Upon successful completion, the trainee receives a nationally recognised qualification issued by a Registered Training Organisation and the State Training Authority.
Trainees earn a training wage whilst gaining transferable skills and the traineeship program takes approximately 12 months to complete. Traineeships are offered across a wide variety of VicRoads businesses and locations.
VicRoads provides traineeships through the Youth Employment Scheme which is a State government initiative aimed at creating job opportunities for young people.
