Cycling is becoming increasingly popular both as a form of transport and for recreation.

In addition to providing cycling facilities such as off-road paths and on-road bicycle lanes, it is also important to provide cyclists with adequate parking and end of trip facilities.

Providing these facilities gives cyclists the opportunity to park their bicycles in a place that is convenient and secure and will assist in encouraging more people to cycle more often.
