Road Safety Engineering Workshop

If you want to develop your skills in road safety engineering, expand your knowledge of safe road design and analyse crash data, the VicRoads' Road Safety Engineering Workshop is designed for you.

Based on the Austroads National Road Safety Engineering syllabus, this workshop uses practical, real-life case studies throughout.

This workshop will help you:
  • undertake and/or purchase road safety audits
  • develop counter measures
  • understand good road safety engineering practice
  • manage roadside hazards


Who should attend?
These workshops are designed for professionals who have a responsibility for road safety, such as consultants, local government engineers and members of the police.

Workshop dates
Workshops will be held on:

  • Monday 20 July - Tuesday 28 July 2009
  • Monday 23 November - Tuesday 1 December 2009

Workshop structure
You can choose to register for any of these options:
  • Road Safety Engineering Workshop (All seven days)
  • Crash Site Investigations (Days one and two)
  • Roadside Safety (Day three)
  • Introduction to Road Safety (Days four and five)
  • Advanced Road Safety Audit (Days six and seven)


Venue
All workshops are held at the VicRoads Head Office, 60 Denmark Street, Kew VIC 3101.

Costs
Workshop costs range from $460 to $2200, depending on the number of days you wish to attend.
