Victoria has implemented a loading scheme for the transport of cattle, sheep or pigs. The following information bulletin sets out the requirements for participating vehicles operating in Victoria.
The information bulletin provides an explanation of the scheme including the mass and dimension limits of participating vehicles and the responsibilities of drivers and operators.
Vehicles registered outside of Victoria are eligible to participate in the scheme. Interstate registered vehicles that participate in their respective livestock loading schemes may be eligible for automatic inclusion in the Victorian scheme. The information bulletin provides more information.

When transporting livestock, plan your journey to avoid the CityLink tunnels (unless the top deck of the trailer is empty or it is covered/enclosed). See maps of alternative routes around the Burnley and Domain Tunnels on attached file.
