You can renew your car learner permit, however a motorcycle learner permit cannot be renewed. Below is what you need to do to renew your car learner permit or what is required if your motorcycle learner permit expires.
A car learner permit is issued for ten years and can be renewed.

pay the learner permit fee at any VicRoads Customer Service Centre or by calling VicRoads on 13 11 71 (Mon-Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm, Sat 8.30am - 2.00pm). |

has expired by five or more years and you have not held any other licence or learner permit in the last five years. If, however, you hold a current licence or learner permit from anywhere in Australia, no test is required, simply pay the learner permit fee to have a new permit issued. |

A motorcycle learner permit is issued for fifteen months and cannot be renewed. If you wish to have a new motorcycle learner permit issued you must complete a motorcycle learner permit test and pay all relevant fees.
