Change your address online

There are no fees for changing your address with VicRoads. You do not need to replace your current driver licence when you change your residential address. We will post you an address sticker to put on the back of your driver licence.

Requirements for a Change of Address
To change your address on your driver licence or vehicle registration you must provide:

  • your driver licence or learner permit number (if you have one)

    • your vehicle(s) registration numbers

    Postal Address
If you require mail to be sent to an address different to your residential address, you can request a postal address with VicRoads. You can have an interstate or overseas postal address on your Victorian licence.

A garaged* address must be provided for Victorian registered vehicles. Vehicles cannot be registered in Victoria unless they are garaged in Victoria. If the vehicle is not garaged in Victoria, the vehicle should be registered in the State or Territory where the vehicle is usually garaged.
    * Garaged means the place nominated by the registered operator as the place where the vehicle is normally kept.
