Q. I need a replacement licence
A. You can get a free replacement licence or learner permit by visiting a VicRoads Customer Service Centre. If you are unable to get to a Customer Service Centre, you can call us on 13 11 71 and answer a few questions to confirm your identity. Your replacement licence will be sent to an address of your choice and delivered within three working days.
Q. I still want to sit my road knowledge test for my Learner Permit but I have no documents to prove my identity
A. You can still sit the test. If you pass we will issue the permit when you are able to come back to the Customer Service Centre and provide evidence of identity.
Q. I had an appointment for a test – I need to change the appointment.
A. Call VicRoads on 13 11 71 and we will transfer the appointment at no charge.
Q. I need a new learner log book and want the hours that were recorded in my old learner log book to count
A. Call VicRoads on 13 11 71 and we will send you a new Learner Log Book free of charge to an address of your choice. To have the hours you have already completed with your supervising drivers to be counted, you will need to sign a statutory declaration which includes the name and contact details of your supervising driver/s.
Mail thecompleted declaration to Log Book Exemptions, Locked Bag 5000, Kew VIC 3101. Please remember to provide a contact number and a return address.
Q. I can’t provide my log book for my drive test
A. If you have completed your 120 hours you can sit your drive test. You will need to bring with you a completed statutory declaration stating that you have completed 120 hours of supervised driving and the name and contact details of your supervising driver/s.
Q. I’m a truck driver and need a new Work Diary
A. We can issue you with a new Work Diary free of charge, however, you will need to visit your nearest Customer Service Centre to collect it. This is because we need to confirm your identity and record the Work Diary number against your VicRoads account.
