To change your gender on VicRoads records, you must supply a medical report.

Notifying of a change of gender
To notify VicRoads of a change of gender, you must provide a medical report indicating that:

• a course of treatment is being undertaken in preparation for gender re-assignment, or
• surgical re-assignment has taken place

Submitting the Medical Report
You can submit the medical report to VicRoads by:

Changing your name
If you wish to change your name to that of another gender (eg. a male name to a female name or visa versa) the standard Change of Name rules apply.
