Probationary licence test and licence fees
Cost of undertaking your probationary driver licence test (car) and getting a probationary licence:
Appointment: $15.00
Hazard perception test: $14.90
Car practical driving test: $36.00
Victorian probationary driver licence card: $46.60 (3 years) or $62.20 (4 years).
Total fee payable: $112.50 (3 years) or $128.10 (4 years).

Licence renewal (3 or 10 years)
Licence renewal (car or motorcycle) fee: 3 years $46.60 or 10 years $158.60.

Replacing a licence or permit
Replacement of licence or permit (car or motorcycle) fee: $19.50.

Learner’s handbook: Road to Solo Driving
Road to Solo Driving Handbook: $14.40. Available from VicRoads Customer Service Centres, the VicRoads Bookshop, selected newsagencies, some libraries and other retail outlets (cost can vary between retailers).
