EastLink, the new tollway between Mitcham and Frankston, connects the Eastern, Monash and Frankston Freeways and bypasses more than 45 traffic lights.
Formerly known as the Mitcham-Frankston Freeway, EastLink is Melbourne's second fully-electronic tollway, comprising about 39km of freeway-standard road connecting the city's eastern and south-eastern suburbs.

Drivers on the following existing roads are asked to take care when merging with traffic from EastLink:
- Springvale Road city-bound entry ramp at Eastern Freeway
- Both carriageways of Monash Freeway
- Exit ramp from city-bound carriageway of the Monash Freeway onto Police Road
- Southbound carriageway of the Frankston Freeway
