There are a number of groups that provide advice to Government on issues concerning motorcyclists and these groups also help implement road safety initiatives.
The Victorian Motorcycle Advisory Council (VMAC) provides advice to Government on issues relating to the management and development of motorcycling in Victoria.
VMAC has representatives from motorcycle associations, user groups, clubs, retailers, manufacturers and industry groups, as well as from VicRoads, Victoria Police and TAC.
For more information see VMAC
RoadSafe involves the community in reducing road trauma by addressing local road safety issues. It consists of a coordinated network of 24 RoadSafe Community Road Safety Councils across Victoria.

Riding a motorcycle is far more difficult than driving a car. Riders should seek training to help them develop the skills required to ride a motorcycle safely.
For all rider training needs or to obtain a motorcycle learner permit or licence, contact a VicRoads Accredited Motorcycle Rider Training Provider.
