To help meet continued demand, VicRoads will be releasing drive tests appointments through until December, including more Saturday appointments. These additional appointments will be released in the morning on Wednesday 16 July.
The availability of drive tests has been impacted by increased demand for services around the implementation of the Graduated Licensing System's new probationary licence measures that were introduced on Tuesday 1 July 2008.
Releasing tests well in advance will allow learner drivers a greater opportunity to plan for their tests. Learner drivers should also be mindful that the new drive test has been developed for a driver with 120 supervised driving experience.
The aim of the Graduated Licensing System is to save young drivers' lives, by helping them to become safer drivers.
VicRoads would like to thank the Victorian community for their patience and understanding during the transition period.
