RSS Feeds

What are news feeds?
News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines in one place, as soon as its published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

Feeds are also known as RSS. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary which is a method of delivering regularly changing web content, such as blog entries and news headlines.

How to use RSS
RSS feeds can be read using software called an RSS reader, feed reader, or aggregator. Current web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and above and Mozilla Firefox contain built in RSS readers.

How do I start using feeds?
To access the news feeds you need an RSS feed aggregator or reader.  There are large number of RSS readers available to the public. Some are downloadable programs that are installed on your computer, while others are web-based services that you log in to through your web browser. Some web browsers (such as Firefox, Opera and Safari) are also capable of tracking RSS feeds.

Subscribe using a Feed Reader
To subscribe to an RSS feed, right click on one of the feeds listed below with the RSS icon, and select "Copy Shortcut" in IE or "Copy Link Location" in Firefox to copy the URL of the service. Paste this location into the appropriate channel of your news reader by following the instructions within that application.
