Electronic Fleet Registration System (EFRS)

What is EFRS?
EFRS is a VicRoads online service that will provide fleet operators with the ability to manage their vehicle registration renewal process. The system provides operators with access to view basic vehicle details, receive advice on vehicle registration expiry dates and fleet listings and make timely payment of registration using a direct debit facility.

Who is eligible to use EFRS?
Any individual or incorporated body operating a vehicle fleet of 50 or more vehicles may
apply to use EFRS.

EFRS is not available to vehicles on the Federal Interstate Registration Scheme (FIRS).

Why use EFRS?
EFRS offers significant benefits over the manual system to renew fleet vehicle registrations, such as:

  • A quick and easy way to renew vehicle registrations online
  • Online access to fleet vehicle particulars (expiry dates and status - if active, cancelled, suspended or expired)
  • Electronic notification of any changes to vehicle status
  • Electronic notification of vehicles due for registration
  • Improved financial management through electronic payments (Direct Debit facility)
  • Electronic notification of vehicle registrations paid, as a TAX Invoice

How much does it cost to use EFRS?
Existing fees for vehicle registration renewals still apply and there are NO additional charges for using the EFRS service.

How do I pay for fleet registration renewals using EFRS?
By direct debit.
