VicRoads and its partners are working together to develop and implement projects to increase the attractiveness of public transport by improving travel times and reliability.
As part of the Government's Think Tram program, VicRoads is working with Yarra Trams and the Department of Transport to identify improvements to tram routes. Think Tram aims to reduce tram travel times and reliability, and improve safety and amenity.
Environment Management and protection of the environment is an integral part of VicRoads operations. This includes working with a wide range of stakeholders during the planning, design, construction and ongoing operation of roads to protect and, where possible, enhance the environment.
