Hybrid Vehicle Identification stickers

All hybrid vehicles must clearly display a hybrid vehicle identification sticker on the number plate. The penalty for not clearly displaying a sticker is a defect notice or fine of up to $550.60.

Hybrid vehicle identification stickers identify a hybrid vehicle to emergency service workers and help ensure their safety if they are called to a crash.

Stickers should appear on the front and rear number plates as displayed in the picture below.

Stickers are available from VicRoads Customer Service Centres for $1.25 a pair.
