Ham Radio number plates can only be issued to registered vehicle operators who hold an amateur radio licence.

These plates are issued in the following ranges:

VK3 AA to VK3 ZZ
VK3AAA to VK3 ZZ

The plate issued to you will match your radio call sign.

Ham Radio number plates have white lettering with a choice of the following nine background colours:

1. Black
2. Light Green
3. Dark Green
4. Red
5. Maroon
6. Mid Blue
7. Dark Blue
8. Brown
9. Burnt Orange

The slogan for these plates is VICTORIA, displayed across the bottom of the plate.

You can purchase Ham Radio plates by calling VicRoads on 13 11 71 or attending a VicRoads Customer Service Centre and paying the fee.
