A number plate featuring the FINA World Swimming Championships mascot, “Penny the Little Penguin”, was issued to commemorate the Melbourne 2007 FINA World Swimming Championships and to help protect the Little Penguins.
Proceeds from the sale of the number plates went to The Penguin Foundation, The St Kilda Penguin Study Group and Sea Search, which are non-profit organisations involved in protecting the Little Penguin and its natural environment.
Penny the Little Penguin Plates are issued in the range M07.000 to M07.999
