Bus priority works at the intersection of Williamsons Road and Foote Street in Templestowe to reduce delays to buses travelling through this intersection have been completed.
SmartBus Route 901 travels from Frankston to Melbourne Airport along Foote Street and Williamsons Road.
Buses travelling along Foote Street and turning right into Williamsons Road were experiencing delays in the morning and afternoon peaks. Changes to the intersection included:
- construction of a new right turn bus lane on Foote Street, on the east approach
- upgraded traffic signals to give buses turning right from Foote Street into Williamsons Street priority over other traffic.
