VicRoads has developed this set of VCAL Road Safety Units for teachers and practitioners delivering the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) in schools and other educational settings. The resource focuses on young driver safety issues and aims to assist young people to enter the road system as safe and responsible drivers.

The units have been designed and developed to integrate learning outcomes in Literacy, Numeracy and Personal Development Skills across all levels of VCAL – Foundation, Intermediate and Senior.

VCAL practitioners are encouraged to download and read the introduction to assist in the selection of units that will best meet the needs and interests of students in their setting.
