RoadSafe groups develop over 100 local community road safety initiatives each year. Initiatives target drink driving, speed, fatigue, older road user safety, young drivers, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, road safety for children, child restraint use, motorcyclist safety and vehicle safety.
In 2005 there is a focus on drink driving and speeding:
- Looking After Our Mates - an education session, delivered by trained presenters, about responsible consumption of alcohol and strategies to avoid drink driving.
- Speed initiatives – focus on raising community awareness of local speed issues and advocating for initiatives to reduce speed limits in high-risk locations.
