More information
Berwick-Cranbourne Road is a major north-south traffic route in the City of Casey, providing an important link between Berwick and Cranbourne. This project is part of the ultimate duplication of Berwick-Cranbourne Road between the Princes Freeway at Berwick and the South Gippsland Highway at Cranbourne.
Berwick-Cranbourne Road was duplicated between Cresthaven Boulevard and Pound Road to provide two lanes in each direction, and Pound Road was realigned to form a safer intersection.
The project also included a signalised intersection on Berwick-Cranbourne Road at the Moondarra Drive / Meadowlands Way intersection to provide safer access to the two local schools, St. Catherines Catholic Primary School and St. Francis Xavier College.
Separate bicycle lanes behind the kerb provide a high level of service and safety for cyclists.
