Cut & Fill Pty Ltd was VicRoads contractor for the works which commenced in August 2007 and were completed in December 2008. As at January 2009 minor landscaping works are ongoing and speed limits have been lifted to 80km/h.
An environmental management plan was developed and successfully implemented during construction. VicRoads worked closely with the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) and Council to ensure that all environment protection requirements, including the protection of native vegetation were met throughtout the project.
In December 2008, Cranbourne MP Jude Perera attended and inspected the completed works which were planned and developed in consultation with Council and the local community. VicRoads consultation included project information sessions, website updates and distribution of construction updates to community members registered on the Project mailing list.
