Current progress and traffic impacts
Roadworks are now complete with all new traffic lanes opening in October 2009. Landscaping and minor off-road works will be completed during late 2009.

Managing the environment
Environmental studies were undertaken for cultural heritage, flora and fauna. An environmental management plan was developed and implemented during construction, to minimise construction impacts in and around Dandenong Creek and to protect native vegetation.

Involving the community
Prior to the commencement of works VicRoads held a community information session to provide people with project plans and seek comment on relevant issues. Feedback from this session - as well as day-to-day feedback offered by community members - was considered in finalising project plans.

Construction and traffic information has been available on this website. Feedback from local residents, businesses, schools and community groups is welcomed.
