The $39 million Donnybrook Road Interchange will eliminate the existing intersection on the Hume Freeway at Kalkallo. The $39 project is funded by the Australian Government under the AusLink National Project program.

The Plenty Road Duplication Project is a $32 million State Government funded project to extend the duplication from Centenary Drive, Mill Park to Gordons Road, South Morang.

The Somerton Road Duplication Project is a $33.7 million State Government funded project to extend the duplication of Somerton Road providing two lanes each way between the Hume Highway and Reservoir Drive, with a new road overpass to eliminate the railway level crossing at Roxburgh Park.

A $150 million upgrading of the Tullamarine-Calder Freeway interchange to reduce congestion and improve safety at one of Melbourne's worst traffic bottlenecks and accident blackspots. New freeway lanes and access ramps were constructed on land around the south-west corner of Essendon Airport between English Street and Bulla Road.
