Berwick - Cranbourne Road duplication, Clyde North
A $17 million State Government funded project extending the duplication of Berwick-Cranbourne Road  at Clyde North from Grices Road to Thompsons Road, with a roundabout being constructed at the Thompsons Road intersection.

Construction started: May 2007    Completion: third quarter of 2008
Length of works: 2km

Cheltenham Road widening, Keysborough
A $13 million State Government funded project to widen Cheltenham Road at Keysborough. An additional traffic lane is being constructed westbound between Chandler Road and Springvale Road with improvements to the Cheltenham Road/Springvale Road intersection. Exclusive bus lanes are being provided along Cheltenham Road between Lakeview Boulevard and Springvale Road, and north along Springvale Road approaching the Cheltenham Road intersection.

Construction started: May 2006    Completion: early 2008
Length of works: 3.5km

Cranbourne - Frankston Road duplication, Langwarrin
An $11.4 million State Government funded project extending the duplication of  Cranbourne-Frankston Road   between Centre Road and Western Port Highway at Langwarrin. The project builds on the benefits of the recently completed duplication works between Warrandyte Road and Centre Road.

Construction started: September 2007    Completion: end of 2008
Length of works: 1.4km

Cranbourne - Frankston Road duplication, Cranbourne South
A $30 million State Government funded project extending the duplication of Cranbourne-Frankston Road  between Hall Road and Western Port Highway at Cranbourne South. 

Construction start: mid 2008    Completion: early 2010
Length of works: 3.5km

Sladen Street duplication, Cranbourne
A $21 million State Government funded project to duplicate Sladen Street to provide two lanes in each direction between Scott Street and Hall Road. Traffic signals are being installed at the intersections of Cemetery/Fairbairn Roads, Hall Road, Scott Street/Grant Street and in the vicinity of St. Peters Catholic College and Amstel Golf Club.

Construction started: May 2006    Completion: early 2008
Length of works: 2.7km

Eastlink -  Mitcham to Frankston
A 40 km privately-funded tollway extending from the Eastern Freeway at Mitcham through to Frankston. For further information visit the Eastlink website.

Construction started: 2004    Completion expected: 2008

Monash - CityLink - West Gate upgrade - Dandenong to Williamstown
A $1.39 billion project to improve traffic flow and safety along the Monash - CityLink - West Gate freeway corridor including additional lanes, changes to enhance peak hour traffic flows on the West Gate Bridge, improved entry/exit ramps and implementation of an intelligent freeway management system. Works on various sections are funded by the State Government and Transurban. For further information visit the Monash-CityLink-West Gate website.

Narre Warren - Cranbourne Road duplication, Narre Warren
A $7.4 million State Government funded project to duplication Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road to provide two lanes in each direction between Centre Road and Pound Road in Narre Warren.
 
Construction start: mid 2008    Completion: end of 2009

Nepean Highway - Mordialloc Creek Bridge, Mordialloc
A State Government funded project to widen and reconstruct the  Mordialloc Creek Bridge on the Nepean Highway at Mordialloc, providing two lanes in each direction over Mordialloc Creek.

Construction started: June 2007    Completion: late 2008

Pakenham Bypass (Princes Freeway)
The Pakenham Bypass  is a $242 million project jointly funded by the State Government and the Australian Government. The new route extends the freeway-standard route east from Beaconsfield, bypassing the townships of Officer and Pakenham, and reconnecting with the Princes Freeway at Nar Nar Goon.

Construction started: August 2005    Completion: December 2007
Length of works: 20 km

Pound Road Upgrade, Dandenong South
A $36.8 State Government funded project to widen and upgrade the Pound Road Bridge over the South Gippsland Freeway to the South Gippsland Highway.

Construction start: end of 2009     Completion: mid 2011

South Road extension and package of works, City of Kingston  
The $24.5 million South Road Extension was completed and opened to traffic in September 2007. The project extended South Road from Warrigal Road to Old Dandenong Road. VicRoads is currently undertaking a further package of works in the City of Kingston including traffic intersection improvements at Old Dandenong Road and Kingston Road, and traffic flow improvements at White Street.

Thompsons Road duplication, Carrum Downs
A $30.5 million State Government funded project to widen Thompsons Road in Carrum Downs.Works involve widening to provide two lanes in each direction from east of Mornington Peninsula Freeway to EastLink, and three lanes in each direction between EastLink and Dandenong-Frankston Road.

Construction to start: mid 2008    Completion: end of 2009
Length of works: 4km

Thompsons Road duplication, Cranbourne
A $22 million State Government funded project to widen Thompson Road in Cranbourne. Works involve widening the road to three lanes in each direction between South Gippsland Highway and Rosebank Drive and two lanes in each direction between Rosebank Drive and Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road.
 
Construction start: mid 2008    Completion: end of 2009
Length of works: 1.7km

Western Port Highway duplication, Langwarrin

A $36.8 million State Government funded project to extend the Western Port Highway duplication from the Cranbourne-Frankston Road to North Road at Langwarrin. Works involve widening and reconstruction - providing two lanes in each direction separated by a central median.

Construction start: late 2007    Completion: early 2009
Length of works: 4.2km
