 Current progress and traffic impacts  
On Wednesday 26 November 2008 , Minister for Roads and Ports Tim Pallas switched on the lights to the new East Esplanade connection between Taylors Road and Keilor Plains Railway station marking the completion of the project.

With this new connection, the Taylors Road Rail Underpass project is now complete, months ahead of the original completion date. Some minor works, including landscaping, painting the retaining walls and street lighting upgrades are continuing.

At times roadworks speed limits may apply in the vicinity of finishing works
