This Manual of Standard Drawings for Road Signs is issued by VicRoads to provide
uniform sign face designs for road signs used in Victoria.
Consistency in signs helps drivers to read, understand and act on the message contained in the sign.
This manual contains designs for road signs that have been approved for use in
Victoria. It does not contain signs included in the Australian Standard AS 1743 Road Signs - Specifications, which contains sign face designs for the signs covered in AS 1742 Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. It includes Regulatory Signs, Warning Signs, Guide Signs, Information Signs, Temporary Signs and Symbols.
This manual will be updated from time to time.
