A Program Funding and Service Agreement (Agreement) has been prepared by VicRoads to be as user friendly as possible, whilst adhering to Government legal and audit requirements.
The terms and conditions outlined in the Agreement:
- are commonly used for those receiving government funding,
- protect registered groups and enable them to operate efficiently and professionally, and
- encourage close contact with the relevant VicRoads region providing support.
The Agreement details the terms and conditions for the delivery of VicRoads approved programs and initiatives as part of the Victorian Community Road Safety Partnership Program.
The Agreement is a legal document between the registered group (“You”) and VicRoads (“Us”, “We”) which provides protection to both parties.
The Agreement outlines:
- approved programs/initiatives
- reporting requirements
- payment schedule
- terms and conditions, including insurance cover We provide.
In carrying out the program/initiatives, registered groups must:
- use all proper skill, care and diligence;
- comply with all relevant state and commonwealth laws, codes of ethics, regulations or other standards and in particular the Road Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety and environmental laws
- ensure that no fraud occurs;
- pay all taxes, duties and government charges including GST imposed in Australia or overseas in connection with this Program;
- comply with any state government policy notified to you in writing;
- notify us immediately if a conflict of interest arises, or could reasonably be perceived by others to have arisen, that may restrict you undertaking the Program in a fair and independent way;
- communicate with us, especially if there is an issue that may delay or affect the Program; and
- provide information we reasonably require.
The relevant VicRoads region will administer the Agreement with you. VicRoads regional staff will meet with you to assist you in completing the Agreement.
