The ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) Victorian partners, VicRoads, RACV and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) launched the Stars on Cars program in December 2009 to give car buyers more vehicle safety information at the point of sale.
The 'stars on cars' stickers and swing tags (pictured right) can be found at several participating dealerships displayed on 4 or 5 star cars.
If you are in the market for a new car, look out for the “stars on cars” stickers in the showrooms of participating retailers.
Currently the following retailers are participating in the pilot program:
- Volkswagen
- Hyundai
- Subaru
- Skoda.
