Ringwood Customer Hub and Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre

In a significant move for VicRoads customers in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, VicRoads has shifted its operations from its Customer Service Centre at Burwood East and License Testing Centre at Mooroolbark to two new, purpose-built facilities in Ringwood. Strategically positioned in Melbourne's eastern growth corridor and well serviced by public transport, VicRoads' state-of-the-art facilities at Ringwood are designed to provide a first-class customer experience.

The Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre (External link) opened at 93A Heatherdale Road on 4 April 2022.

The Ringwood Customer Hub (External link) opened at 110 Maroondah Highway on 18 July 2022.

With the opening of these purpose-built facilities at Ringwood services have ceased at Mooroolbark and Burwood East.

Ringwood Customer Hub

The Ringwood Customer Service Centre is located at 110 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood. Known as the Ringwood Customer Hub (External link) it provides all of VicRoads' over-the-counter services. The Ringwood Customer Hub opened on 18 July 2022.

The Ringwood Customer Hub provides modern purpose-built spaces and a state-of-the-art customer experience featuring digital self-serve kiosks making customer transactions quicker and simpler. 

The Hub is designed to service customers who require quick, walk-in transactions.

VicRoads customers arriving by car are able to park at several of the conveniently located car-parking facilities nearby the Hub, including Eastland Shopping Centre. The Hub is also just 80 metres from Ringwood train station and the bus interchange – making it easily accessible for the local community.

Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre

Vehicle testing and inspections services are available at the Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre (External link), 93A Heatherdale Road, Ringwood (2.4km from the Ringwood Customer Hub). It opened on 4 April 2022.

The Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre is a purpose-built facility with more than 50 car spaces for customers and a vehicle testing canopy area.

The Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre provides the following services:

  • drive tests
  • license testing
  • vehicle inspections
  • long vehicle testing – cars towing trailers or caravans

Can I get all my VicRoads business done at the one place?

All over-the-counter transactions will be available to customers at the Ringwood Customer Hub, and all vehicle inspection and testing services are provided at the Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre.

Yes, there is customer parking at the Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre at 93A Heatherdale Road, Ringwood.

Is there customer parking at the VicRoads Customer Hub Ringwood?

No. There is no customer parking at the Ringwood Customer Hub.

Are there public transport options to the Ringwood Customer Hub?

Yes. The Ringwood Customer Hub is only 80m away from the Ringwood Train Station and bus interchange.

What payment options will be available?

All payment options – including cash, cheque, EFTPOS and credit cards – are available at the Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre and will be available at the Ringwood Customer Hub.

I have a heavy vehicle, where can I get a work diary?

Work diaries are available from both the Ringwood Customer Hub and Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre.

Where do I go if I don’t need my car inspected?

If your vehicle doesn’t need an inspection appointment you can complete all your related transactions at the new Ringwood Customer Hub.

What safety measures are in place?

Where do I get a defect notice cleared if the vehicle needs to be inspected? Do I need to make an appointment?

Defect Notices that require an inspection can be cleared at the Ringwood Testing and Inspection Centre. You don’t need to make an appointment.
