July transport disruptions

04 July 2019

Between Saturday 6 July and Sunday 14 July, construction works will continue across the metropolitan and regional train networks to build the Metro Tunnel, remove level crossings and upgrade regional lines.

Planned rail disruptions in July will impact your journey into Melbourne’s CBD.

Delays are expected on the Monash Freeway, Nepean Highway and Princes Highway due to rail works on the Frankston, Pakenham, Cranbourne and Sandringham lines.

Buses will also replace trains along the Mernda, Gippsland and Ballarat lines during this period.

We encourage you to plan ahead, allow more time for your journey, avoid the peak if you can and consider alternatives where possible.
