Maintenance works on Buckley Street

02 April 2019

We’re resurfacing sections of Buckley Street between Hoddle Street, Moonee Ponds and Pascoe Vale Road, Essendon.

What we are doing

This work involves asphalting sections of the road, including traffic management at the following locations:

  • Hoddle Street to Pascoe Vale Road (Brunswick bound side of the road)

This maintenance work is necessary to improve the condition of the road’s surface to ensure the future safety and reliability of the road.

When to expect us

Our crews will be working from 11 April until 15 April 2019 between 8pm - 5.30am.

How will these works impact you?

During these maintenance works, there will be:

  • road closures around work areas
  • detours supported by on-site traffic management
  • a speed reduction to ensure the safety of our work crews and motorists
  • medium-high level of noise, some vibration and dust from the work.

More information on detours:

  • During works between Hoddle Street and Pascoe Vale Road, there will be detours in place for:
    • Brunswick bound traffic via Mount Alexander Road, Kellaway Avenue and Pascoe Vale Road.

Works are also subject to dry weather conditions, and if these conditions do not allow works to be undertaken they may need to be rescheduled.

Plan ahead, look out for extra signage and traffic management crews on site to help direct traffic throughout these works.
