Maintenance works on Mahoneys Road

29 August 2019

We’re completing maintenance works on Mahoneys Road, between Blaxland Avenue and Curzon Street, Thomastown.

What we are doing

This work involves asphalt resurfacing and rehabilitation on sections of the road, including traffic management at the following locations:

  • On the westbound side of Mahoneys Road, between Blaxland Avenue and Curzon Street.

This maintenance work is necessary to improve the condition of the road’s surface, to ensure the future safety and reliability of Mahoneys Road.

When to expect us

Our crews will be working from 15 - 25 September, between 9pm and 5:30am.

How will these works impact you?

During these maintenance works, there will be:

  • A full closure on the westbound side of Mahoneys Road. Traffic will be diverted to the eastbound lanes during works, to maintain traffic in both directions.
  • A 40km/h speed limit will be in place to protect both workers and drivers.

Traffic controllers and signs will be in place to safely guide you through the works. If you’re traveling through the area, please watch out for our crews and drive safely.

Works are also subject to dry weather conditions, and if these conditions do not allow works to be undertaken they may need to be rescheduled.
