26 February 2019

The Australian International Airshow 2019 returns to Avalon Airport from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March.

Those planning on driving to the Airshow are advised to leave plenty of time to get there and home, with significant delays expected in both directions on the Princes Freeway.

Those travelling from Melbourne need to follow signs and exit at Point Wilson Road to access the Melbourne carpark.

Visitors coming from Geelong or Lara should exit at Avalon Road to access the Geelong carpark.

Event organisers suggest to disregard GPS instructions on the approach to the airport and instead follow signed directions.

Patrons with access tags (Reserved parking R1, R2 & R4) should follow signs and directions provided on the back of their tag.

Public transport is a great option. V/Line is running extra services from Melbourne and Geelong to Lara, with shuttle bus services from Lara straight to the Airshow.

Shuttle buses run from 8.40am on Friday, from 7.30am on Saturday and Sunday, running – ending one hour after the Airshow finishes.
