Changed traffic conditions on the West Gate Freeway

Motorists travelling on West Gate Freeway will face changes in traffic conditions over the coming weeks as part of spring works. 

Motorists travelling on West Gate Freeway will face changes in traffic conditions over the coming weeks as part of spring works.

From 27 October, West Gate Freeway inbound lanes will be split over Williamstown Road. 

As you approach the Williamstown Road inbound exit, two of the four lanes will veer right.

You don’t need to make any early decisions – the lanes will join up again past Williamstown Road so you just need to stay in your lane.

From 28 October, West Gate Freeway outbound lanes will be split between Williamstown and Millers roads. 

As you approach the Williamstown Road outbound exit on the West Gate Freeway, two of the four lanes will veer left. 

You don’t need to make any early decisions - the lanes join up again before Millers Road so you just need to stay in your lane.
