Woods Point Road maintenance works

06 December 2021

The Victorian Government is undertaking road maintenance work on Woods Point Road between East Warburton and Reefton.

What we’re doing

To keep Woods Point Road safe for all road users, we’re completing asphalt patching works between Lyrebird Avenue in East Warburton and Boundary Track in McMahons Creek.

Once works are completed, we are planning to return the speed limit to 80km/h on approximately 12km of Woods Point Road between East Warburton and Reefton.
This includes Woods Point Road between:

  • Lyrebird Avenue and 200m north east of Starvation Creek Road
  • 1.5km north east of Starvation Creek Road and Mcmahons Creek Road
  • Hall Road and Nello Drive

A temporary 60km/h speed limit will remain on approximately 3km of Woods Point Road. These sections require significant road rehabilitation works to maintain safe driving conditions before the original speed limit can be reinstated.

While planning for these works are underway, we will continue to monitor Woods Point Road and keep the community updated of any future works.

When to expect us

Works are expected to commence on Thursday 9 December and be completed by Tuesday 21 December.

Our crews will be working during the day between 8am and 5pm.
