Don Road emergency road closure and tree removal

13 December 2022

Don Road from Badger Creek Road to Panton Gap, will have limited access to vehicles from 8pm on Friday 9 December 2022.

We’ve identified 26 trees that could be hazardous to the community and road users on Don Road. They urgently need to be removed. To safely remove these trees, we need to close the road.

About these works

Don Road from Badger Creek Road intersection up to Piaf Day Spa on Don Road is closed and will have limited vehicle access during works.

A hard closure affecting all motorists will be in place outside 939 Don Road from 8am to 4pm on Wednesday 21 December whilst we erect a large crane and tower to remove two trees that could not be removed on Monday 19 December.

Outside of these times, travel on Don Road between Piaf Day Spa on Don Road and Donna-Buang Road and Don Road intersection in Panton Gap will be restricted to allow access to residents only. There will be no access for large vehicles permitted during works.

Large vehicles travelling eastbound will be able to turn-around at Don Road and Badger Creek Road intersection.

A reduced speed limit of 40km/h is in place in the work area to keep workers and drivers safe. Please slow down and drive safely.

There are no detours in place during these emergency works.

The road closure will be in place while crews carry out emergency tree removal.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.
