Princes Freeway, Pakenham

15 September 2022

The Victorian Government is delivering important road maintenance work on approximately 5.6 kilometres of Princes Freeway in Pakenham, between the Cardinia Road interchange and the Koo Wee Rup Road on ramp.

What we’re doing

To keep the Princes Freeway safe for the community and the thousands of road users who rely on it every day, we are undertaking vital road resurfacing works on the eastbound lanes of the Princes Freeway, between the Cardinia Road interchange and the Koo Wee Rup Road on ramp.

When to expect us

Crews will be on site for approximately 2 nights between 8pm and 5am, from Monday 19 September to Wednesday 21 September 2022, weather permitting.

We will be working at night to minimise traffic disruption and to keep our crews safe.

Please note that the dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions.

What to expect

During works, the eastbound lanes on the Princes Freeway will be closed between Cardinia Road interchange to the Koo Wee Rup Road on ramp.

During the closure, there will be a detour via Cardinia Road, Princes Highway and Koo Wee Rup Road.

The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) are currently undertaking work on the Racecourse Road level crossing which may impact travel times. Please plan ahead and allow extra time when moving through the area.
