Belgrave-Gembrook Road landslips

08 January 2024

We’re repairing landslip sites on Belgrave Gembrook Road between Belgrave and Selby, following significant rainfall and severe weather conditions.

Update - January 2024

We’re completing drain maintenance works on Belgrave Gembrook Road between Belgrave and Selby to prepare for landslip repair works.

Belgrave Gembrook Road between Belgrave and Selby will be closed on Thursday 18 January from 7am. Motorists are advised to detour via Belgrave-Hallam Road and Wellington Road.

We expect the road to reopen from 3pm Thursday 18 January under changed traffic conditions to ensure the safety of all road users.

The following changes to traffic conditions will be in place:

  • A reduced speed limit is in place for an approximate 400m section of the road.
  • Shuttle flow (stop / go) within the 400m section of the road guided by traffic management.

If you are traveling in the area during this time, please follow the traffic management directions on site.

We will keep the community updated regarding upcoming repair works.

Public Transport

Route 695 buses can travel safely through the area. For the latest information and to plan your journey visit the PTV website.
