Donnybrook Road bridge maintenance, Yan Yean

The Victorian Government is investing $100k to deliver bridge maintenance on Donnybrook Road in Yan Yean.

What we’re doing

We’re delivering bridge maintenance works on the Donnybrook Road Bridge over Barbers Creek, Yan Yean.

As part of this package of works, we will be installing temporary steel plates on the bridge deck and resurfacing the asphalt to remove rough areas and provide smoother, safer journeys.

Crews will be back on site later in the year to complete further bridge strengthening works, as well as asphalt patching and resealing works to repair the surface on this section of Donnybrook Road.

The temporary 60km/h speed limit will be in place until crews can return during warmer weather to complete the final works.

What you can expect

Donnybrook Road will be closed between Epping Rd and Plenty Rd from 10am Friday 26 August to 5am Saturday 27 August, with signed detours in place via Epping Road, Bridge Inn Road and Plenty Road.

Access for local traffic will be maintained at all times during works, however there will be no through access at the point of works on the Barbers Creek bridge.

Please address a traffic controller if you need to pass through the road closure.

Plan ahead, allow for extra time and keep an eye out for changed traffic conditions and temporary limits when travelling through the area.

Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
