Grimshaw & Flintoff streets intersection upgrade

We’ve now upgraded the Grimshaw Street and Flintoff Street intersection to make it safer for everybody.

The intersection is one of the busiest in Greensborough carrying more than 20,000 vehicles per day.

The $900,000 project was being jointly funded by the Victorian Government and Banyule City Council.

Works were completed in September 2017.

About the project

A number of safety improvements have been made to the intersection including:

  • New traffic signals including dedicated pedestrian crossings
  • Changing the layout of the intersection to create a smoother curve
  • Adding a new bicycle lane

Project benefits

This project makes this busy intersection safer and make it easier for people to move around Greensborough, including accessing the nearby Watermarc Aquatic & Leisure Centre, medical services and the shopping precinct.
