We’re delivering important road maintenance works on approximately 250 metres of Keilor Park Drive in Keilor East, between Thor Court and Commercial Place.
This $958,000 project is being delivered as part of the Victorian Government’s $780 million investment in the state’s road maintenance.
What we’re doing
These works will involve road rehabilitation to restore the condition of the road surface. We’ll start works from Thor Court, and head south towards Commercial Place.
A southbound road closure is required from Ely Court to Commercial Place as we will be excavating the existing road.
When to expect us
Crews will be working on Thursday 16 between 8:00pm and 5:00am and continuously from 8:00pm Friday 17 March to 5:00am Monday 20 March.
Please note that the dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions.
How will this impact you
- During works, Keilor Park Drive will be closed southbound between Ely Court and Commercial Place, with a signed detour in via Old Calder Freeway, Green Gully Road, Sunshine Avenue and Metropolitan Ring Road.
- Motorists traveling north on the Calder Freeway are encouraged to use Green Gully Road exit and avoid the Keilor Park Drive exit.
- There will be no access for properties along Thor Court and Commercial Place.
- Medium - high noise levels.
- Some vibrations and dust around work areas while we remove the existing layer of the road, lay new asphalt, and reinstate the road.
- Up to 20-minute delays when moving through the area.
- Reduced speeds during works to ensure the safety of crews and all road users
