Lower Plenty Road electronic speed limits

The Victorian Government has invested $200,000 to improving safety at the popular Rosanna Shopping Village, keeping local families safe.

A safer, reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will apply between the hours of 7am to 10pm along Lower Plenty Road between Grandview Grove and Joliffe Crescent in Rosanna Village. The electronic signs will highlight the speed limits to help address safety concerns of residents and traders.

Update - June 2020

Works to install new electronic speed limit signs along Lower Plenty Road are underway. You may see our crews working during the following times:

  • 11am to 3.30pm- Monday to Friday.

During works, you can expect to see:

  • Single lane closures in each direction on Lower Plenty Road between Grandview Grove and Joliffe Crescent
  • A reduced speed limit of 40km/h through work sites
  • Some noise, vibration and dust
  • Restricted parking on Lower Plenty Road.

Construction is expected to be complete by July 2020.

Pedestrian and residential access will be maintained through the area at all times. If access is blocked for any reason, we’ll have traffic management crews on site to help.

If you’re travelling through the area, keep an eye out for changed traffic conditions, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
