M80 Shared user path, Keilor East

We are upgrading the shared user path along the M80 from EJ Whitten Bridge to Dodds Road. Construction is planned to commence in early 2021 and be completed by mid-2021.

Project background

The Department of Transport, Parks Victoria and Brimbank Park are working together to upgrade the shared path in the area, which will give many people in the surrounding suburbs another option to cycle or go for a walk-through natural parkland and green space.

Project details

We will:

  • Building a brand new 1.1km path along the M80 from EJ Whitten Bridge to Dodds Road
  • Remove the old path once the new path has been constructed
  • Improve amenity for everyone in the area, with the undertaking of a routine clean-up of the sediment pond near the old path

Next steps

We will be working to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the Cultural Heritage Management Plan.

Construction is planned to commence in March 2021 and is expected to be completed by mid-2021.
