Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) emergency tree removal works

The Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) between Healesville and Narbethong will be closed from 6am to 6pm Saturday 19 November, 2022.
We’ve identified a large 80m tall tree which is leaning on another tree and needs to be removed. To safely remove this tree, we need to close the road and use a crane.
How will this impact you
We’ll have signed detours in place via the Melba Highway to Yea, the Goulburn Valley Highway to Alexandra and the Maroondah Highway heading south to Narbethong. Please see the detour map below.
This detour will add an extra hour of travel time, so we advise you to plan ahead for travel between Healesville and Narbethong.
Local access will be maintained for properties and businesses between Dom Dom Saddle Picnic Ground and Marysville Road.
