South Gippsland/Lynbrook Boulevard intersection - safety upgrade

We’re making things safer at the South Gippsland Highway and Lynbrook Boulevard intersection in Lynbrook.

About the project

We’re installing two electronic flashing signs on the south approach of the South Gippsland Highway near the Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre and upgrading the two static signs on the north approach.

The electronic flashing signs will turn on prior to the activation of the amber light at the intersection of South Gippsland Highway and Lynbrook Boulevard. This will give motorists time to safely reduce their speed approaching the intersection.

The new and upgraded signage will improve road safety and increase driver awareness of the approaching intersection.

How will these works impact you?

Works will start Wednesday 29 January 2020 and be completed by late February.

Our crews will be working Monday to Friday, from 9:30am - 3:30pm to minimise disruption during busy times.

During this safety upgrade, there will be temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits to ensure the safety of our crews and motorists.
