Warrigal Road - Oakleigh maintenance work

The Victorian Government will be delivering important road maintenance work on Warrigal Road in Oakleigh.

What we’re doing

The works will be undertaken on Warrigal Road between Swindon Road and Davey Avenue.

The $165,000 investment ensures the road remains strong and safe for all drivers.

When to expect us

Works are expected to take place from the evening of Monday 21 June to the morning of Wednesday 23 June. To minimise disruptions to traffic, crews will be working at night between 9pm and 5am.

These dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

Working dates and traffic impacts

Road closures and partial lane closures will be in place while crews work. Please observe the detours while travelling through the area.

To keep our crews safe, we will have temporary speed reductions in place near the work zone. Please observe these speeds as you travel through the area. Some noise, vibration and dust are also expected as we complete these works.

Works will take place across the following dates:

Monday 21 June; between 9pm and 5am

  • Warrigal Road closed –southbound lanes – between Princes Highway and Davey Avenue
  • Detour route during nightworks: Signed detour via North Road, Huntingdale Road, Princes highway and Murrumbeena Road

Tuesday 22 June; between 9pm and 5am

  • Warrigal Road closed – northbound lanes – between North Road and Swindon Road
  • Detour route during nightworks: Signed detour via North Road, Huntingdale Road, Princes highway and Murrumbeena Road

We will maintain access for residents at all times – however, you can expect some delays as our traffic management crews assist you to safely navigate through the worksite.

Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
